Your support of the PA EMS Provider Foundation is greatly appreciated. The Foundation –
- Awards scholarships for EMTs training to become certified as AEMT or Paramedic.
- Provides immediate financial support to the families of a Line of Duty Death (LODD) EMS provider.
- Hosts the PA EMS Memorial Service, honoring PA EMS Providers who died in the line of duty. The memorial service is held annually the Monday after Labor Day, in the State Capitol building. The memorial service is held in partnership with PA DOH BEMS.
- Recognizes Pennsylvania’s exemplary EMS Providers, as identified by their leadership or peers, with Stars of Life Awards. The annual banquet is held as part of the PA EMS Weekend of Recognition and Remembrance.
- Hosts the PA EMS Memorial Bike Ride, raising awareness of EMS while honoring the service, sacrifice and memory of PA EMS providers who died in the line of duty. The memorial bike ride is held the first weekend after Labor Day, cycling over 3 days from a location in Pennsylvania often associated with a LODD to the State Capitol in Harrisburg for the memorial service.
- Desires to build healthy networks to better ‘take care of our own’ through provider wellness initiatives.
